In Another World, I'm Called: the Black Healer - Vol. 3 Ch. 19

...Cancer as well? Dang gurl that's some extensive healing abilities you got there. Most other healers can only do the more obvious wounds and general illnesses. I wonder if she is able to cure things like diabetes too...

She cured cancer in one sitting by taking it out and incinerating it... why can't this be a thing in our world? *cries*

Remember, with cancer you have 2 basic situations:

1) Tumor, isolated (possible multiple tumor growths): Simply, the cancer is located in a mass, or multiple masses or the organ or tissue of origination, "easily" removed through surgery with a bit of chemo therapy to kill off any loose cells remaining. Based on manga, this is likely the situation she came across.

2) Metastasized: The cancer has "broken" off and and now crowing in more than one area of the body. Still the same cancer, but the cells are in various organs other organs and tissues. Due to this. surgery is only helpful for the large growths and you become much more reliant on the chemo/other for a cure. At this point, cancer is much more difficult to cure and have a much higher chance of failure. In some cases, once this has occurred, death is pretty much a foregone conclusion.

If the word "Explosion" pops up in someone's status, they are either 1. Megumin/ a person of similar "taste" or 2. An asshole who blows people up without warning.
(Read the next line in an emergency announcer's voice)
Warning: This message has the skill: Explosion, read/quote at your own risk.

What the... did that guy just cast explosion in a room full of people? Ouch!

@Leo80221:

Ever heard of Zero's Familiar? (Zero no Tsukaima, ゼロの使い魔)

It's kinda strange how louise has kinda been forgotten since konosuba became a popular thing. The main character of that show, at least before the second season and like 5 novels in, wasn't able to use any spell other than explosion (even with incantation) and the strictly-once-only familiar summoning spell. It's also an isekai series. It features a lot of military technology, such as the A6M "Zero", the F-1 "Supersonic Zero" jet fighter, the Tiger I tank (novel only), LAW rocket launcher "Staff of Destruction" etc. - I actually found out about this series from a fan-made RPG hayate the combat butler game, as it references a lot of series involving Rie Kugimiya's roles in voice acting as the voice actor of tsunderes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oj6fdjAa3DE

What a cliff!

Cancer huh?
Yeah...Magic is convenient like this. Science is amazing because we pick apart the why and how, and improve life that way.
Magic jumps directly to the solution, but because they don't understand the "why", they can't do as much.

Reene is OP precisely because she's able to use both together to solve problems. Like cancer.

"Obedience Contract"
Wonder who the mastermind is this time. Church? the former Marquis?

@ZdrytchX I haven't read or watch it in years so I don't remember very many details about the series other than that the author died while the LN was still ongoing. If I have even the slightest interest in a genre I'll either read 100s of series that fall in the genre or add 100s of them to my follows/favorites. I'm pretty sure I'm reading most if not all of the ongoing isekai series on this site, just as an example, though I'm behind on a few of them.

@ZdrytchX Aaaah, nice to see someone who knows of Zero no Tsukaima! That series left such a huge impact on me that every time I see someone that has the "explosion" power, I can't help but thing that he blows every thing up involuntarily each he tries to do something xD

@ZdrytchX I was aware of that series and all, but had given up on it because the author died before they could finish the series. It seems like they actually have gotten someone else (the author of this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bladedance_of_Elementalers) to finish it up with the original authors notes since then, though. If only the other light novel and manga series in that situation would get the same treatment eventually too.

So many series have been abruptly cut short like that and this is the first one I was aware of and liked I've actually seen get continued this way. Kaze no Stigma definitely comes to mind, for instance. Would have loved to see that get its novels finished up, and maybe as a result get more out of the manga and anime adaptations.

Somewhere, Megumin shed a single tear.
EDIT: Hey, for the record, I LOVED Zero no Tsukaima, but while Louise's first (and only for a while) Void spell was Explosion, a) it didn't look all that much like an explosion and b) I don't think she ever actually said the word "Explosion" to cast it.
