I can't say you are wrong....
But I think no one here has ever been on the brink of death or in a situation as stressful as in what they are.

The selfishness to get what you want even if it means sacrificing someone else's( as in not expressing their feelings before they die or not become one with the person they love before they die in the next day, of course we know they won't die as we know they are the mc harem entourage but they don't as they are part of the storyline), for them is kind of silly as the girls are only fighting over a guy but it can be with anything else too.

@conscript117 oh yeah I get that, I'm not saying how the main character and the harem are acting is unrealistic as I don't know what would be realistic in this situation, but it's more about the actual story itself. This is some really heavy tonal dissonance, I've gotten so much emotional whiplash when they transition between dealing with this tragic event and then suddenly going all romcom the next chapter.

It's like if you were served a steak, but for some reason half of the steak tastes like fish. I like fish, but tasting fish immediately after tasting beef is going to be really weird.
