@Rzaj having a monopoly means that you're literally the only one able to provide a "service".
The simple fact that alternatives exist, means that Microsoft cannot be a monopoly, regardless of the market share they enjoy. Alternatives existed since the birth of Microsoft. Apple came out with their first computer nearly 10 years before the first windows PC. Apple were also the first to release a graphic OS.
If apple were smart and allowed others to build computers and install MacOS on it, they'd be way more popular. (instead they preferred to be seen as the "premium" brand... You get what they offer you and that's that)
When you, as a consumer or the CEO of a company, have the option between a 500$ "good enough" machine for word processing or a 1500$ "overpriced" Apple PC that you wouldn't even use to its full potential anyway.... The choice is easy to make for a lot of people, even more so in the enterprise world.

@TetraSky thats not what the legal definition of monopoly is. A monopoly there means that a company has and is excercising monopoly power, ie the ability to determine prices and terms to its customers and consumers and leaves them with no viable alternatives and also determine the environment of their industry, eleminating rivals and create barriers to entry. This can occur in some cases with just 25% of market share, depending on the jusrisdiction. In the US it doesnt matter as long as it doesnt affect prices while in the EU, where they will take into account overall market structure. Microsoft had such a monopoly that they were charging companies for the OS even if they didnt put in their computers and putting IE on every computer, killing netscape, so it was determined that they had monopoly power.

I am pretty sure MS doesn't have monopoly on hardware. People can argue that they have monopoly on the operating system, but hardware? They have some toys, mouse, keyboard, network cards, phones, hollow lens... The most successful one I think is Xbox...
