That's funny because the idea of what's beautiful and what isn't has always changed from an era to an other, from a region to another and more importantly, from a person to another. This is so wrong.

@elki what you refer to is fashion. But things like Roman or Greek architectural styles, or something else that is as evergreen and generally regarded as beautiful don't really change into ugly overnight do they? If that were the case the Taj Mahal wom't be seeing throngs of tourists descending upon it or Venice be chock full of sightseers all the time

Yup, this chapter rubbed me in a wrong way. She's so self-righteous I can't take her seriously. Not saying that the boy was right but...
@ElJefe and I think you are mistaking a popularity with beauty. What we perceive as beautiful won't change overnight, sure. It takes years. Also, you don't actually see new buildings using doric order which are called beautiful. I would say they are laughed at by both architects and "normal people".
