Iron Ladies - Ch. 181 - I, Himiko, Would Rather Starve to Death Than…

I respect her gusto and the history lessons are always a bonus. Hair is a part of one's life, for some who still live by the eldest of ways to cut it is to transform or for sacrifice for a greater good.
Great series and thans for the tidbits of knowledge and good food @allenallen

Oh fuck yeah, another chapter! Massive thanks for all your work on this series, @allenallenallen333! I honestly get excited & a little giddy when I check my follows & see a new chapter for Iron Ladies, I just love this series a whole lot. I'm not exactly sure why I love it as much as this, but I do.

It's a damn shame that Himiko is too stubborn to save everyone around her if it means bowing down to Mu Suyin, who is by virtually every metric better than the emperor of Ditu. Literally the only thing the emperor has on him is being an emperor, which Mu could fix in about forty minutes.

What kinda calculation is pacific oceanx3? Supercomputer(author) dumbs it down for the viewers.

When you think about it, Himiko's passiveness even shows in her civilian persona life especially when dealing with that jerkass stepson of hers.

DJMordred, Yeah its pity Her Pride is too high and too stubborn. She rather bow down to PIGLORD than ask for assistance to MC.
(Maybe Himiko feel guilty because In ch 1, She was slit MC's neck.)
If She ask Help to Mu Shiyun, Maybe 5000 Three Legged Ladies still Alive and intact.
It makes me sad....

@snakeyes
I have a feeling she will, Mu Siyun can't afford to let Three legged crow crumble and go away , it would shift the power balance between the three fleets dangerously in his favor, you might think this is not a bad thing but it is in the fact that it will cause instability in the political environment . Thus causing chaos and a possible breakup of the Daxia alliance or worse a war between the Daxia alliance and those that are not part of it.

@Haremmony
I agree, I can't wait to see the look on his dumb-ass face when he releases what jerk he has been to Himiko

Will we have new chapter's after ch188?......as it is the last free chapter.
I hope we do...... seriously HOPE.....become an addict to this series.
Plezzzzzz allen continue your work

I don't know why she's stubborn, but it's not pride. She bows down to others too easily anyway. She says it would be disadvantageous to ask beyang for help, but beyang's not interested in demanding anything. I'm thinking it's along the lines of them firstly not helping with the dragon slaying alliance, and secondly that compounding with owing a favor for helping now. Crow's debt to beyang would be absurd at that point. It's weird since she know Mu is just, soooo...
We will never know why she's actually so stubborn, unless at the end of the arc her admiral will ask why.

Yeah, I don't know what she's afraid of. Let's say Mu Siyun absorbs Three Legged Crow into Beiyang. So what? How would it be worse than their present situation?

Though I also wonder what the Daxia Elders' game is. Do they want Mu to consolidate all three fleets under himself? If so, why? And is he their tool to get rid of excessive corruption, and if so, why didn't they do something earlier, before it became so bad?

Too little, too late. It's not exactly applicable, but an old Christian saying applies; "Too fearful of man to be fearful of God." (In this case, God being the slow destruction of TLC and the ongoing corruption)

@AlmondMagnum In order:

I think the answer is yes, they do want to consolidate the fleets. If they didn't know it before, it's been amply demonstrated by now that armies don't work when ruled by committee; it makes them wildly inefficient and opens them up to corruption like Ditu's financial and political games. It's theoretically risky, but Mu is trustworthy enough that putting all that power under one person's command is as non-risky as it's going to get.

As for the second set of questions, yes, Mu is their weapon against corruption. The blonde-haired VR elder said as much. The reason they didn't do anything earlier is because they are effectively machine-built trans-humanists who removed huge portions of their humanity, including their emotions, to rule as logically as possible. Recent history is proving that was a horrendously poor way to govern, and since they're not stupid they are taking steps to correct it.
