I'm really enjoying this. Thanks for updating. Personally, I didn't get too confused by the gender switch. One of the 1st things the useless 2nd gens demanded was the identity of the Soul Tier. Since they used female pronouns for him, & since he was right there, and since they knew they had thrown him in the angel blood, I just figured that the idea that all angels were always female was so ingrained that they didn't even consider the possibility that the Soul Tier Angel wasn't a girl, no matter what "she" looked like.
