I would advise against that as it is something that isn't revealed in chapter 1 but just a tad bit later on.

I mean, it was pretty obvious(or rather she was pretty suspicious) that she was a girl or at least she gave off the feeling, but it was only confirmed at the end of volume 1 if I remember correctly.
I don't remember much, but since it is supposed to be a mystery at first, I would say to leave it as a "he" because that is what the author wants you to believe.
