I feel like Japanese writers who include food in their stories have only tried bad tasting food from Europe. I mean sure a decent amount of British cuisine are bland but there’s still some decent ones, not to mention brits have quite a few good fusions/adopted cuisine and if we include Europe as a whole than there’s a lot of good food.
Edit: while reading through the comments just remembered that there’s some really weird British food so we might need to minus some points for that lol.

I swear the Japanese have a level of food suprematism comparable only to Italians.

(It would also be unwise to tell an italian that a goddess kidnapped you into another world with no possibility of return, we have explicit ways to express our disagreement with the divinity. Despite that I would have loved to see a scene like that)
