@Thoughtgap i wasn't referribg to african-slavery. This series has too much of a benign outlook on slavery for that. I was referring more to slavery like early Greek slavery, where it was mainly an economic tool to handle debts. There was laws protecting slaves rights back then and slaves were allowed to do pretty much what they wanted, except politics. Eventually though, the system corrupted. Abd over time evolved into what we know today.

What part of anything that happens necessitates her being a slave? Isn't that just completely arbitrary bullshit? This stupid woman is selling her best friend into slavery for no fucking reason... or rather just because that is the plot theme: glorifying slavery.

I believe this was the chapter I dropped this after she joined em. this time I'll try to push thru great artwork btw for this ech setting and I have enjoyed the chars and development.
