The troupe of "character appears and doesn't listen to a single word that's being said and does whatever the fuck they want" is so fucking stupid. It's as if they're brain dead, acting on autopilot. You tell them the circumstances, and it goes into one ear and out of the other. They act as if they didn't hear a word that was said and continue to do whatever they were doing prior to being given information. It's so unbelievably asinine.

Seems everyone is forgetting that the MC is getting married again. After all, he caught the prince and by Merfolk law they are to be wed! So does this mean the MC and prince are both grooms, does one of them have to be the bride, and is the princess the first wife due to marrying the MC first?
@Nyaaa Think it's more practicality than exhibitionism. Humans wear clothes to avoid getting burned by the sun and protection. However, swimming through water clothes would hamper movement and increase drag. Also, seems Merfolk genitalia is covered by the scales so only need clothes when leaving the water. Since can breathe and move through the water in three dimensions at high speed with the water buoyancy lightening their weight compared to slowly walking on land with more weight and requiring firm footing I'd say it's easy to guess where they spend most of their time. As for moving in water with clothes I've had experience as during scout camp for swimming merit badge we had to jump into a lake while wearing clothes, take off the outer layer to make improvised floats, and float for ten minutes. The clothes stuck to us once wet slowing and hindering movement, got real heavy with the weight of the water, and burned through out stamina a lot faster. Didn't help water was about 45 degrees F. Not like the movies or tv where character manages to swim around seemingly untroubled without taking anything off.
