Well, from how this story goes in the first 3 chapters, you could get a similar effect if you write about a barber who is required to cut a certain number of customers' hair before being allowed to go home. I think the problem with the story is not the sex, but the lack of anything else but sex. No adventure, mystery, world building, alternate goals, enemies, conflict, other main characters, etc. nothing but sex.

Prostitution is quite literally the world's oldest profession. Many prostitutes throughout history (both former and active) would go on to lead happy and healthy lives, with some even having effects on matters such as politics, education and societal structure. Heck, many towns in the Old West were built and maintained by the local Madam, with the brothel girls holding positions of power and using the money they made to improve the town and open hospitals and schools. Prostitution is a service, sex is not something to be ashamed of and sex workers should not be ridiculed and stereotyped like that. Same for the customers that they tend to. That's not to say that there aren't cases that are similar to what you describe, but that sort of thing tends to be the case when a particular service is not legal... there are no regulations for conditions and treatment.
