I assume they say that, because they normally go for the "I must get stronger" route... then again, it's more so the author then the character... but by proxy, aren't they one in the same?

Yeah, like @waterflame said, I meant that in chinese novels the MC would get stronger and would actually kill people like Goumon Hime

a chinese MC will probably end the novel in a rushed way or a bad one forgetting 99% of the characters anyway ? for now, the best endings in chinese novel I found would be in novels with female MC I guess. At the same time, there's too many unfinished even at 3000+ chapters right now anyway (makes you wanna know chinese to read faster than the translation ?)

that would be dope if he became the emperor (Kaiser), but this is a Japanese mc so he probably won't he would be some "savior" whoop dee doo some righteous guy who helps Elizabeth from her past blah blah blah

Very true, that's one of the reasons why I like Chinese mc's a little more, they actually get shit done
