So they made a story about the captain being a pumpkin and his wife a squid. Then proceeded to "couple cook" them into a blended meal.

I'm not sure if that's intentionally over-the-top adorable or it just came out that way.

Because that's adorable beyond the normal spectrum of adorableness. We're breaching little demon daughter levels of adorable.

This chapter in particular was sooo gooood. The lore, history, chemistry...I ended just like shinobu on the corner of page 22, in a good sense

And personally never heard of pumpkin and squid together, but thanks to mangas like this I wouldn't judge it before I try it lol

personally i wish that they explored some more actually "otherworldly" ingredients that he must actually experiment with rather then just making tried and true dishes.

even if i honestly probably would hate the squid pumpkin combo, it just screams wrong to me.
