@themanj guns can be both a good and a bad thing. One of which is you can protect yourself from danger. And let's not forget that chemical gases are far more dangerous than gunpowder and guns.
@OP_Zed
at this point no guns are mass-produced yet all of them are custom craftsman made making them prohibitively expensive for a civilian to own the most probable action a gun at that time would get is in war with the huge funding militaries get in times of war and with brand new flashy weapon countries will be more willing to go to war getting a larger budget and getting more guns some guns are bound to be lost in combat maybe even captured by enemies or spread by merchants in a couple years practically every major military power will have some gun or cannon china made the cannon in ~ the 12th century and the first cannons arrived in Europe at about the ~13th century
in about 100 years every castle fortress and knight was rendered obsolete
chemical gasses require quite pure chemicals to work with to make gas consistently... also containing it is a pain in the ass... and releasing it is quite tricky... and generally arent fatal unless in an enclosed space... and ok il stop
@themanj in terms of technological progress, they are still at the infant stage of guns and gunpowder. Slow reload time, gunpowder might not work in rain, etc. Compared to our technology that has advanced for over 100 years, we have cartriges, casings, primers, smokeless gunpowder, rifling, you name it. If our technology clashed with theirs, we would still win by default
@OP_Zed
oh no yeah we would wipe the floor with em especially if America knew that treasure trove of a resource filled world existed
i worried for the residents of that world... especially the guards ... if their city was sieged... its over
I am gonna call this now and see what happens later but....
I think helmina is gonna end up needing to go to the modern day side to give birth cause of complications and our restaurant owners will take the risk to save her life.
