Well, never mind that, there should be billions of job opportunities for him. Does he have an itembox? Smuggle some drugs. Detection spells? Locate some lost stuff, afterward go to a nice location and detect some gold ore. Even with that strength alone, he could try to pull a spiderman origin story and work as a wrestler for a bit. The only reason i can think of, why he isn't doing this and let those otherworlders have their way with him, might be that guild trip, he is on.

If he still has all his magic skills (which I assume to be versatile) then he could pretty much work in any profession which values results over portfolio. Sports, gambling, fishing, detective work you fucking name it.

If he chooses to do an entrylevel shit job regardless due to ''hurr durr no work experience'' then it's entirely by his own choice so I don't get why the author tries to make us empathize for him? I mean if he didn't have any skills left then the situation would be entirely legit but right now the setting is kinda braindead, I'll probably still read it but I'll be shutting down my brain and just focus on the pretty girls.

WTF you get sent back into the real world with all the hero-like powers you had in the other world. Magic, super strength, and all other kinds of skills and abilities. And he can't find a way to change his life around? He really is just a fucking waste isn't he? He can do so many things and profit without effort, even at 32, even if it's Japan, even if he has no education. He can just film himself actually flipping a car and pretend to struggle a little, he would be famous. He can do actual magic shows and pretend it's sfx and he's just skilled. Join the fucking army for all I care, he's a god damn soldier to begin with, so you'd think it'd be logical too. I get that it's really more up to the author to decide the character's life direction, but when his excuse for grief is so basic and solvable, it's pretty ridiculous.
