@KlausAD its similar to how alot of places teach martial arts now which is basic muscle memory training and movement. So when it comes to a real fight youre not totally prepared but you know the basics and can improvise. Some kendo and martial arts places have people fight for real with nothing held back to give the idea of a real fight. But japanese school kendo is pretty tame tbh.

It like a step away from writing "all according to keikaku". Not that I'm criticizing the quality of the translations, but the logic behind choices such as these.
