Personally, what I appreciate most is that MC tried to make it so she doesn't run off on her own in a revenge quest. It feels like a bunch of terrible plot developments just got shut down with that.

@Voideater You have to remember it has been about a year. They're probably 12-13 now. Right in the midst of puberty.

@Voideater I believe the author made a mistake in the very beginning when deciding the ages. Maybe the story was originally supposed to be slower, but ended up being faster. That is, assuming the manga follows the novel even remotely closely. The character designs in this manga looked older right off the bat, but who knows how they were described in the novel? Now, I feel like, it's best to just forget how old they are supposed to be according to the story, and just view them as they look like. At least since there are hints of romance, I'd say it's actually better they look older.

Sigh... I knew this was going to happen. And by "this" I mean the comments.

They were originally 10-12 (which is bullshit, they don't look 10. Or 12. But whatever). But a year or so has already passed, meaning the older ones are 13. That's middle school already.
In OUR world, 13yo kids already have crushes, and some of them "date" (not sure exactly how, I just know they do). Some kids have sex at 13 (wake up, like it or not, it's a thing). And that's in OUR world. Now.
In the middle ages, 13-14 girls were already getting pregnant.

.....but y'all somehow think it's weird, or wrong, for 13yo Isekaier to have a crush.
Okay then.
