Isekai Kenkokuki - Vol. 4 Ch. 25.2

Wasn't looking at the scrollbar and cracked up when I saw the translator credit page in the middle of the chapter, thinking it was already over.

What that was short? So they just did a WW1 underground tunnel bomb? Or long ass pipe bomb?

That was a good trolling, putting the credits in the middle of the chapter.

Still short, but no cliffhanger ending at least.

That mid chapter credit have me a heart attack. Would have been a good April fool's joke.

@Mnuchinboo you're only halfway through the chapter

Frankly speaking, they could have just dug a spiked pit trap with collapsible supports and killed most of them that way, too.

They will need to work hard and fast to rebuild their defenses, in case king Ferme gets angry or something else unexpected happens, like Ferme retreats via their village's route still with significant forces. Almus can't really attack anyone with any significant numbers, unless it's by guerilla tactics.

A giant explosion is a lot more effective on morale. Waiting for everybody to get near is also redundant, as the giant explosion and flying bodyparts would certainly convince the rest of the soldiers to run away once their leadership get blown to bits.

Maybe the Game of Thrones Writers should have read this manga.

@xrogaan It's but a tiny part of a big army. The less people survive to join the main army, the better. The best case scenario would be none at all. No information can be more terrifying than some information and especially full information. In the end the big explosion would still be something the king of Ferme could accept and thus prepare for it. It's not like the 200 men were simply killed with a wave of a hand, which would be horrible news for him, suggesting someone possesses the power of a god. They were merely killed by a trap he can't replicate, but it's not otherwise incomprehensible as a weapon.

I'd expect Almus to imprison the surviving ones until the war is over. In practice it would be troublesome to guard a large force of capable fighters. Again, the less survivors, the better. If there are too many, he might just let them walk, with all the negative consequences.
