Isekai Kenkokuki - Vol. 4 Ch. 29.2

Little did he know that the journey was far from over, as what he though were the end was only the beginning. Although once he finds out the world is round, he might very well decide to take an arrow to his knee, and marry the architect. As this is a story, the encounter feels sufficiently "fated".

@WillTell The peninsula they're headed for looks vaguely Italy-like. Then there seems to be a strait, which would be Gibraltar.

I feel like the two male MCs (the reincarnated and the pseudo asian) will meet someway.

@Nk9bjP4A
A civilization with that nivel of technology in where women are educated?
That's so unrealistic... which is why she being able to read and write is surprising.

...Not gonna lie, this is a refreshing change from the old story. Just a random separate adventure.

So, city planning and books (soon to be) get?
Well, that's interesting, since the MC's friends are all mostly focused on combat, he now needs some people for development.

@mahtan It's also a world with some magic, and, moreover, women are inherently more gifted at using the magic, so there's that fundamental difference between our world and that world. It gives the women one concrete edge when competing with the physically superior men. Such an edge never existed in our world.

@Homuranagi
Because, unlike what you may think, there are unavoidable reasons caused by nature for things to have happened the way it did in our world.

@Kaarme
True, not that the magic is even anything big but it is something they can do.

@mahtan Yeah, it doesn't seem to be overly big, but its psychological effect actually is bigger than its real size. Like all the curse stuff, which is scary, no matter how you look at it. Furthermore, it does have its irreplaceable uses on a national level, which is crucial for it to really make a difference in women's social status. The fact it can be used for extreme long distance scouting (on their scale, not ours) already makes it next to vital for warfare. If one side can keep track of the enemy strength, location, and movement, but the other side can't, it's a huge deal.

@Kaarme
While I agree with you the setting itself doesn't to. After all the story itself has a country in which they scorned upon and even in the country the MC is sided with they are seen as too limited and not worth the use.
But I do agree with you that it is likely way more usefull than the story make it to be and they just don't have the imagination for it.

etto, so this chapter is a side story that will then be connected to the main story?

i hope this side story won't be long, as i tend to forget the main.
