@amamiya426 It could just be a case where the translators read the name the japanese way instead of the chinese way. They both share characters, after all. Guan Yu vs Kan'u, for example.

That's some casual classism on display there. When the guard derided the second-class citizens, I thought this would be setting up some sort of challenge to that view. Then the rest of the chapter reinforces that negative description instead before moving on from the topic entirely. So I really don't know what the point is with all of that.

@Salfaro Constantinople was renamed in the 1920s when the Ottoman empire crumbled and is the modern name for the city. Although the proper name in this circumstance would technically be Byzantium as that was the name for the city when it was a greek trading town and this is a pseudo greek time period and setting.

@mahtan Unfortunately you are right. The story definitely could make far more out of it. Though in a certain sense it is realistic some people/factions would even try to get rid of a big asset for nonsense reasons, such as the men feeling threatened, though it would be masked as something else publicly. Humans do such things all the time due to rotten politics. Just like Venezuela has ridiculous wealth in oil, yet the country is currently a wretched place of poverty purely due to insane political decisions.
