This manga is still trope-y as hell, but it at least tries to subvert some of the ones that are rampant in stories like this. Bit of a breath of fresh air, really. I still haven't gotten over the villain monologue, though...

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure "Kabara Numerology" is supposed to be "Kabbalah Numerology".

I like the de-emphasis on the standard isekai magic categories and use of Latin words for spells. (Which is why the dumb spell chant he used to beat the summoned monster felt off to me- though I'm pretty sure that and the mustachioed rival mage guy weren't in the Webnovel)
