Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu - Vol. 10 Ch. 49.2 - Trying Out Chasing After Them II

'bout time he fights like his life depends on it. Having him fight smallfries was beginning to become boring.

Thought he was a number one solo player in the game, somehow he turned out to be this weak??.

@Kizuro Yeah. Back on Earth his RL and game personalities were different. Now it seems difficult for him to use his game personality (Diablo, an Internet tough guy) and he's just the random, meek Japanese dude, who's envious of those succeeding in RL, but could never say it to them face to face. This has actually been consistent from the beginning of the manga. It's why he relies on the one-liners or not saying anything at all, leaving people to draw their own conclusions.

It doesn't really matter how good you are if you hesitate and don't do anything.

well for you guys think why the number one become this weak since he hestitate so much lel XD
if this following the novel the next is that old man just got screwd since he make diablo super serious because he aiming for his life so yeah poor old man :v

@Kizuro If you mean because he's screaming at that Injury that is pretty much the first real Injury he's gotten since being Summoned. Games tend to not hurt as much. Granted
Old Guy now fucked up.

@theShear and @Kaarme
What I meant is that I thought his In-Game character was also translated toward the now his current state. Meaning his aptitude on magic, mana, str, dex, etc etc was also being transported. What confuse me was even with all those stat you got, the least you could do was to dodge such attack using your innate speed/instinct/dex or whatever. OR does his meek attitude mess up his current stat that badly?

When is diablo and the gang going to learn? Never? Alright then...

@Kizuro Nah, it's just that he's dumb as a boot, because the author decided so. Otherwise the story wouldn't be even close to what it currently is.

I really hope we get some development in this fight and some adaptation, otherwise there's just no point in continuing reading. Not after this long.

@Kizuro In this specific case it seems like his paralysed by his own hesitation. In the game he could probably hurl any sort of spells around without a care in the world; the environment might have been indestructible like it often is in games and he had got no allies in the first place. His problem is that he thinks too much. Instincts are useless when he's frozen trying to imagine all the bad results. It would be the best if he actually tried to be a little more like a demon king, not only be one in speeches, and simply leave things up to the fate. Using some strong spells in that place might collapse things here and there, but it's not like it would automatically kill Rem and the priestess (the rest don't matter). On the other hand if it scared Baduta into fleeing, he could stop destroying the place.

Which kind of magic would be good? That one that blasts a hole into his brain. You don't even need to think about that all to much.

Losing an arm?? That's a big deal for this character. He hasn't even been hurt very badly now he gets a limb cut off? Wow.

Couldn't he have made an ice wall or something? Though when you have to consider restricted mobility and the lives of innocents he probably couldn't think of it in time.

@Kizuro He got careless because aside from very few battles he was never in danger and this old fart is actually seriously skilled. ... granted this
was a wake up call for our MC, just wait for the next chapter or read it on the translators website :)
