I don't get it, why is her -4 for seeing through lies a deciding factor to him? He didn't lie. The trust+2 is useful, but overall I feel like all he did was plead his actual case, and received a heartfelt response of acceptance. The girl wants to help the weak in trouble, and he is someone weak in trouble.

@feha I feel it's a sense of guilt of taking advantage of a gullible girl through basically an analysis of her personality given to him.
Alternatively, it's actually because he doesn't want to be stuck with her as the only advantageous thing about her is her horse.
