If it's so much based on D&D there is a lot of spells, talents, magic items or god's favors that allow you to fake your alignement and/or occupation from screening attempts of lower leveled characters...
And by the way Lawfull Good characters can also be awfully dangerous (burn the heretics, nobody expect the spanish inquition, etc...).
The strange tho, is that his wisdom is not a dump stat so he shouldn't be so guillible...

Well shit, I think this might be the first time I've seen an isekai pull the "adventurers rough up the newbie MC" card and have the MC laughed out + have to turn tail, instead of them showing everyone they're stronger. Sure he did the mug trick, but nobody except the obviously shady cleric noticed, and they all think he's still a chump.

I thought shut-ins distruct the world so much they would rather rot in a closet/room for their life. He doesn't act like how I assume, but rather more like an overly naive person.
