Isekai Munchkin -HP 1 no Mama de Saikyou Saisoku Danjon Kouryaku- - Vol. 2 Ch. 6 - First Dungeon

I’m not sure if this is meant to some secret racist thing I don’t get, but why are all the people with completely closed eyes and Massive smiles always the bad guys.

@Mpwilson123: Random guess, Japan and China have always had a poor relationship. The closed eyes look and corrupt behavior may be a Japanese stereotype of the Chinese.

so he was personally good, but because those aura making him wary of mc something like that i think ?

No the D&D alignment system treats "good" rather subjectively, if the person genuinely believes they're acting on the behalf of a greater good and not because of personal greed or sadistic tendencies, they can be fit the classification of "good".

Now guess how the church treats heretics and what they consider to be the proper thing to do.

Aaaand our hero just learned why alignment is useless garbage.

Oh, what a surprise, the ugly bastard is a villain. Mangakas sure love their dumb cliches, im still waiting for the day when an ugly bastard happens to have a heart of gold.

Most “evil” characters are of the good alignment. They think their doing the right thing. The evil alignment know that the stuff they do is bad meaning you can trust them more than some good characters.(Not exactly trust but you know they aren’t going to suddenly change.)

holy shit, this is the first time I've ever seen a manga with a proper reptile kobold.

Oh, wow. This is proper D&D. Down to ability chart, races, and so on. There are goddamn tieflings in that bar.

I mean, is our lawful good guy here really that bad? I don't think what he's doing is wrong, he's killing (pretty much) supporters of an objectively evil god.

I can't believe the naivety of this MC... This man's actual intelligence and wisdom stats are at best a 7. You have a world book and you don't even bother to look up your clearly evil god, who had devil-like horns and whose servitor was of the same race of the evil ones that attacked you 10 minutes after you spawned, there was even the evil god curse.
What a disappointment.

Hahaha, my guess was spot on.
(wrote it in last chapters comments)

I'm starting to think that maybe our mc's INT was actually 1.7, and not 17, since he's being a total gullible retard.
Maybe he has a some sort hidden stat, like [Imbecile], which drops his INT -10, and makes him naive towards strangers..
(just made that up, lol)

Thanks for the chapter!
Aren't kobolds usually part dog rather than part lizard? Like a bipedal dog with a few tweaks to the skeleton to stand upright and hold weapons. In any case Lawful Good seems a bad identification for that zealous cleric. Sure getting rid of evil is good, but lying, ambushing, and killing without gathering all the evidence or trial is evil. So's stealing their equipment for his own personal use without even considering that it might have a rightful owner or inheritor that the equipment was stolen from and should be returned to. Especially trying to kill Charlotte just for being with MC despite knowing she's a follower of Luria. After all, cleric can't say MC didn't fool or hide true intentions from her if really was an evil follower. That and he's too cruel when killing 'evil' and enjoys it too much. A real Lawful Good person would only kill from necessity and self-defense while mourning the loss of life which might have had a chance to see the light but can't do so anymore.

@strangestripes your guess was way far off lol

Design vise, squinty eyes make character's face looks more intimidiate and menacing. Take Sakurai from Uzaki-chan for example, since he has squinty eyes, he is being treated as a delinquent from anyone who doesn't really know him well. That's a common trope in manga.

@Mathiason The Kobolds of many manga I've seen have generally been doglike, but in most AD&D and D&D Monster Manuals, kobolds have generally had "reptilian humanoid" , or something similar in their descriptions. The image here looks very like the image in the 5e Monster Manual.

Intelligence is book smarts, my dude. This situation is wisdom related.
