Isekai no Meikyuu Toshi de Chiyu Mahoutsukai Yattemasu - Vol. 3 Ch. 15

First thing I saw on the dragon image was the studded collar. Pretty obvious they're being controlled somehow.

Hmm, in this chapter I found myself liking Luca's figure waaaay more than that of the basketball-titted cowgirl or indeed any of the other girls.

@Riger And what a coincidence that the saintess just happens to be there during that time too... I guess the only real question is: Is the saintess behind the monsters to expose the MC, or is someone trying to kill the saintess by using the monsters?

clearly the dragon is a subspecies, 2 limb and 2 wing almost an avian type in fact
not even an armed wing like wyvern

@Ryoto

While i do agree with you and would call that a wyvern over a dragon.
The classification of how dragons should be changes alot from fantasy to fantasy.
So it's possible that in this world this is considered a dragon.
Personally i'm of the philosophy that:

4 legs and wings is a dragon.
4 legs and no wings and its a drake.
No legs and wings is a winged serpent.
2-0 legs and no wings and its a wyrm/wurm.

But that's just how i class them, some people do it differently, some do it by size, if it can use fire breath etc etc.
And at the end of the day both Drakes and Wyverns are technically dragons anyway.
Wyverns and the other 3 types usually just usually considerd "lesser" dragons, but that still means they are dragons.

Not to mention all the sub speasies like Hydras and Kirins ( drakes ) or Sea serpents/water dragons ( Wyrms ) and Amphiptere or quetzalcoatl ( Winged Serpents )
And we cant forget the exception of the special snowflakes, The chinese dragons who can fly anyway and need no wings to be a strong and independent dragon.

@Goldenzeal

I consider that 2 legs and wings is usually a wyvern. But there can be exceptions.

Chinese dragons, or xenlon (or shenron, however you wanna call it) usually float because they are ascended dragons who possess much wisdom. That, or they use float/levitation magic on themselves.

@Goldenzeal actually normal dragons only have two legs, those "front legs" are real arms, with digits fully capable of holding things. Also I've never seen one story in which armless dragons are referred to as Dragons. THey are almost certainly referred to as Wyverns, except here, for whatever reason.

Extra: the japanese refer to a four legged dragon as an Earth dragon, but that is because they play with the word they use for dinosaurs(Kyouryuu) which has Dragon in it(Ryu). So the Earth dragon would be pretty much a fantasy dinosaur that is actually related to real dragons, which is why they lack wings and have 4 legs.

Dragons, wyverns, whatever. They are fictional creatures. Whatever the author decides to call them, that's what they are. Which makes any outside classifications based on numbers of limbs or the like utterly useless, in the grand scheme. Two legs and wings but called a dragon, it's a dragon. Four legs and wings but called a wyrm, it's a wyrm. Basically an earthworm but called a dragon, it's a fucking dragon.😊

@cor3zone
even fictional creatures need classifications, it's why the word dragon even exists in the first place.
but yes there is no "real" definition of them, just like i said in my first post.

@ BloodySorcerer

There is no such thing as a "normal" dragon.
The european dragon witch is what most people consider to be the baseline "dragon" nowadays does indeed have 4 legs, not 2 legs and 2 arms.

Some make the front legs look more like claws that can indeed hold things like the example bellow, but that doesn't make them arms.... they are still legs as dragons are quadrupedal.

Also if you want a armless dragon that is called dragon, look no further then "Game of Thrones"
img_what_are_the_names_of_the_game_of_thrones_dragons_spoilers_2448_orig.jpg

Unless you meant to say limbless and not armless, which would be what i called the flying serpents
Then you would have to look for the American Amphiptere or Quetzalcoatl. But yeah.... its pretty rare for winged serpents to be called dragons but they are sometimes.
gonna dig up an example later and edit it in.

@Goldenzeal
Any classification of something that only exists in fiction loses any meaning outside of said fiction. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Until dragons become something real, discussing what is or isn't a dragon is pointless.

Holy cow! I'd do bestiality so hard! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Who cares about dragons? I want to see more tiddies in the show! (but not the saintess loli)

Me: Reads the comments
Also Me: Sees everyone talking about dragons.....

In fiction, no one ever yells "Look out, a swarm of dragons" shortly before a million thumb sized, squid faced seahorse monsters erupt from the ground and suck their eyes out. Writers are lazy.

Thanks guys, I learned a lot about dragons/wyverns or whatever it is called.
Very interesting.

It's the saintness loli doing....no real evidence available but it's what first came to mind.
