Yes Yes Yes. The hell that the MC & co went through seem contrived and over the top. But that's what a Japanese Story in this genre is about isn't it? If they provoke nothing in us readers, they will fail their goal.

Personally speaking, I don't like it either. There's no comedic events to lighten up the mood. That won't go well for readers who prefer well rounded stories.

However, I hope the story will finally reveal all the mysterious things in a timely manner. Keep translating this and will keep reading them.
