Isekai Ojisan - Vol. 1 Ch. 3

As someone who often bid in japanese auction... man... this really saves many hassles... No need to pay domestic shipping fee. Picked up, paid in cash, no need to pay bank transfer fee (if any). Can check the item in person immediately, saves one from scam etc. Hoooly moooly

Honestly, that was always something I thought of. If I had teleportation or flight powers/magic/technology; I'd run a shipping company, self employed. Work 2~3 hours a day of actual work, 4 of travel, and spend the rest laying about. Though the travel would be decreased if it was teleportation.

@WhiteWhaleJonas that's quite hard to do legally (almost impossible) even if you can teleport. The thing is how you can get clients or customers? There's no way someone would trust a shady company that doesn't have any employees and properties (such as HQ, cars, etc) to do shipping? Unless someone that directly know you and know your power...

It's possible to get clients but it's hard, maybe most of your clients would be illegal merchants that sell drugs, guns, illegal stuff (maybe snacks like Kinder Suprise?). If your clients is this kind of people then it would be classified as illegal company...but well your company would surely got known and famous in the "dark" world for capable of transporting illegal stuff undected, fast, and in secret.

Best things you can do to earn money if you can teleport is stealing...it will be undected if you're careful enough..

@WhiteWhaleJonas Honestly, if I could teleport I'd put the airline companies out of business.
First, figure out how to replicate the power with technology, and patent it. Then, set up teleporters in heavily traveled areas, like bear airports, and offer instant transport for a fraction of the cost. I'd also keep prices low (like $20 per person), to ensure that it stays affordable.
After a few years, just release the patent. Keeping prices low would make it fairly easy for smaller start-ups to bring competition to the monopolized market, and they could also focus on more local travel (rather than international).

Travel would be revolutionized and open, and prices would be kept far lower than now. And as an added bonus, the eco-crazies stop freaking out so much about fossil fuels. Basically a public service that makes you rich.

Most of this chapter I was just thinking this is the most depressing take on isekais I've yet to see, but hey- dude can fly and still has other cool magic.

Not too bad, other than losing 17 years of real world time

This is so relatable.

And the most depressing thing is that... he was isekai'd when 17, came back another 17 years later... so that'd make him... 34.. still younger than me.
Kinda looks like me too.

@Tairo : If I got hold of that tech, I'd just release it to the public domain. I'm sure capitalists would still find some way to make money from it... but at least I'd have taken steps to make it difficult for them. Or maybe I could explicitly use Copyleft for it to stop them profiting. Not sure.

This is just ths image, mangafied.

I mean, tsunderes are annoying and they're always at fault. The nephew's acting like his uncle's stupid, but...
"That coward...he ran away. Seriously..."

Uh...excuse you? He had been tied up and was about to be burned alive. Of FUCKING course he ran way. I mean, I guess he could have used magic to slaughter every last villager, but not sure not doing so makes him a coward.
Also, she started by insulting him three times, so...

A coward? Girl he literally got beaten everywhere he goes and this time was almost killed for helping peps, he was naked with no armor and was blinded because there is a pig head around his head did you expect him to fight?
