Okay does that uncle maybe have mental issues? I don’t mean this as a joke. Most people show some care for others and are able to (or try to) empathize with them and understand their emotions. So far he’s been acting someone that doesn’t understands others emotions at all and just uses others for his own gain with little care for how they feel. Here the tsun elf stopped being tsun and was really obvious for a minute (saying she’ll support him from now on), but he didn’t even think of what implications a girl taking a drunk man to a hotel would have. I get that’s the joke, but it’s getting kinda painful.

I also think he's so extremely self-deprecating that the idea that someone could even love him is completely foreign to him. I disagree that he doesn't care about others and just uses them for his own gain...he helps people when he sees them in need.

I mean if he hadn't socialised with literally anyone his age for most of his life, and spent most of his childhood on games, there's a good chance he doesn't understand even basic societal expectations. also, he was super drunk and as a lightweight, it's easy to understand if he couldn't infer even obvious things at that time. Considering how he spent three years before that night just fighting people and basically being shunned by other humans, I can see how he wouldn't really grasp basic socialisation issues.

like i don't think this is a matter of empathy, this is just him being really socially inept, since it's not like he's incapable of feeling bad. i also don't think he's ever used others, either, it's more like others get involved in his business. he's even tried to save people most of the time, too, it's just that people reject him anyways. if anything, from what we've seen, he doesn't even want nor need to use others, since he's really overly op
