Getting paid doesn't make you better. There are "professional" TLs that translate a remark calling a guy tsundere into a comment on his "fragile male ego". There are "professional" TLs who use idiotic butchery like "gomenasorry".
Honorifics do not have direct English equivalents. "-san" is not the same as "Mr/Ms/Mrs", and it's certainly not acceptable to translate "-chan" as "dearie" like some so-called professionals do.
