Meh, I can see the potential for nasty STDs in fantasy, but with magic, there's always another way, it's just a matter of finding it.

I dunno, the presence of magic also suggests the possibility for incurable crotch curses just as much as it suggests the ability to cure most normal STDs by magic or something like alchemic concoctions. It's all up to the person running the show. An author could do whatever they wanted.
