Isekai Shoukan wa Nidome Desu - Vol. 2 Ch. 6

Just before anyone says anything this was released before other chapters but was delayed xD

I feel like this was only released today because some other group mass released the next couple of chapters

edit: right when I write this, that was added huh?

@Oeconomist: It was released on the homepage of CAT scans on May 27th - before the other scans. CAT Scans just has a 1 day delay here on MangaDex.

@Invader_Retro

There wasn't and then there was; and I was referring to the rival scans that now are.

@Mastejar

Okay. Then did it get an accelerated release at MangaDex in response to the rival release? If so, that would effectively amount to what @Tych suggested.

If Imanity Scans is consequently henceforth going to be releasing here ahead of CAT Scans, for CAT Scans to delay releases here will not work well for CAT Scans.

@Oeconomist No its 24 hours delay plus imanity-scans only did it temporarily and would hand it back to cat scans if they wished.
Its just really off timing and imanity-scans should have talked with cat scans before this to avoid awkward things from happening :3

@Oeconomist: I don't know if it got an accelerated release here. Like I said, on the CAT Scans homepage it was released on May 27th, but I don't know according to which timezone it was the 27th. According to mine it was released on May 29th on MangaDex, so it would be a delay of 2 days.
Anyway, I just wanted to point out this chapter was released before the ones from Imanity Scans. You're probably right that it won't work well for CAT Scans if Imanity Scans continues to release them sooner.

@Mastejar except they aren't Imanity Scans only did this cause CAT Scans took 4 months to release the next chapter and they weren't releasing info about the project so Imanity Release several to tide everyone who was going threw withdrawal from getting nothing from the series

I don't know how to say this in a way that won't rub anyone the wrong way. But I'm just going to bulldoze through and hope everyone who felt attacked will forgive me for saying it.

Imanity came and took over after 4 months and then suddenly CAT Scans have two chapters already done? That's very suspiciously sound like CAT Scans already had two chapters (or more) done already, but they didn't release it? For what reason were the chapters withheld for 4 months? What's the story?

Now, I don't know what's going on in CAT Scans, but I'd like to request that any thoughts about keeping a title hostage to be kept away from any scanlators' minds. Delay policies are fine, but it's stuff like these that make people question your motivations and ethics. Again, I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but have to admit it's very suspicious.

Well, it sounds like some sort of collaboration maaaaay be in the works*; at which point, CAT Scans gets some help with their staffing shortage, and Imanity gets quicker releases on this series. Presumably, both parties benefit.

* See comments over here by hyrule13 and Samishii23.

actually how come none of you are asking this: is ch6 vol1 or 2? either CAT or Imanity must've marked it wrong....can either @hyrule13 or @cloud04 fix it? i can't report it since i don't know which one is correct

@Wolvenworks It's actually volume 2, I checked the contents page on the release of it and it covers chapters 6-10. Check the preview on bookwalker.jp if you want to see for yourself.

@Wolvenworks wasnt even me who put up the chapter, normally i just leave it just chapter, i dont put the volume number mainly because we do not have the tankobon version of the series, although this is already in vol 2 of the light novel, and give or take a tankobon comes around 300ish pages...so yeah

Gonna play devil's advocate here:
Imanity Scans were working on chapters 6-10 for batch release and, when CAT Scans released chapter 6 on their site (and put it here with a delay), Imanity already did 6-8. So, they went and released them with a disclaimer, that they are going to do 9-10 (cause who likes their work going to waste) and leave it to CAT to decide what's next. So, if CAT didn't release chapter 6, we'd get chapters 6-10 from Imanity, but a bit later.
I mean, it's always hilarious when slowpoking team gets "sniped" after a huge delay and hastily releases one or even several chapters, but unless CAT somehow caught wind of Imanity working on this series, i don't think they were pressured into releasing this one.

Well, it seems they might start collaborating from now on.

Can someone with access to the raws compare the translation quality between the two versions? Imanity Scans already got a head start in my book for translating "Onii-chan" as is rather than opting for the generic "brother" (no, I'm not convinced by all the arguments that the various Japanese honorific suffixes and familial titles are pointless and should be replaced with the far less diverse English counterparts; in fact, I find them to be little more than bullshit).
