It feels like there's 7 chapters of flashbacks at this point and it looks like the next 2 chapters will also be a flashback . I like slow stories but I prefer if they're actually telling the story in present time.

I think this series is all about personal pains, regrets, inner sufferings and the healing process by appreciating life and counting all the little blessings we can find. There's a positive message there and it's quite suitable for its main demographic - tired average workers who might be going through a quarter-life existential crisis that happened to read a lot of feel-good stories tend to be found from Isekai mangas. Not the kind of manga most people want, but the kind that most people need/deserve.

I enjoy this but I wasn't expecting it to be this slow when I first read it so long ago.

Unrelated, but I'm starting to get some purgatory vibes if you include Jin's origins and the people he's encountering.

I guess every single villager will get a backstory with flashbacks. The MC, however, will stay forever an amateur doing fetching quests because the story doesn't give him any time to progress.
