Isekai Tensei Soudouki - Vol. 5 Ch. 40

@izayamikaelis i kind of liked that, people are not always able to fight in their best form and sometimes they commit mistakes leading to their death. I think it created a sense of realism for me

Samurai flash kill and European deep politics
This manga sure has it all and this chapter proves it again.

I cannot see Urraca just letting Balud slip away from her back to his kingdom alone considering how attached she is to him. My money is on her going back with him and his other two girls (and Silk) freaking out about him bringing another woman home. Honestly, while I can somewhat understand his avoidance of her so as not to 'betray' his two fiances, I'm also pretty annoyed at him refusing her advances like that. Sit down and talk to her, sure. Don't insult her pride and confidence as a woman by turning her down like that.

what is the saying??
"it's a Mans shame to turn down the advances of a woman"
or something like that

the smell of grass must be some old idiom in japan about assassins. Kusa is the japanese word for grass and ninja. assassins would be very similar to ninja in the perspective of the old man in his head

I thought the battle with the assassin leader would be something moreepic, with all the build up from last chapter.

@Qelix Remember Franco actually gets along with Pedro, lot of people seem to have forgotten that. So that lady just tried to assassinate his wifey earlier, and now his bro-friend now. So yeah, of course, he's gonna turn straight savage on her.

@Nermie01 Ballud knows and he also knows why she is after him (him having the Old guy soul inside him). He probably already tried to refuse her but she wont let go (remember that she is a pirate captain that went after a guy for a while even though her fleet really couldnt)

I love that the captain is now head over heels for him and is constantly demanding that he beds her...gotta respect her bluntness and determination, she wants his D so by God she's gonna get his D.

If only she had just been patient, she would have gotten everything she wanted, dumb fucking broad.
@WillLi
Dont forget, she insulted the Woman he loves as well.

@Nermie01
The cliche would indicate that she follows him home, but this story has been pretty good at coming up with original ideas, so I dont think well gets stupid romcom sheenanigans.
