It is equal to the "desu" of the normal Japanese.
Too unique to ignore it and too lazy to translate it.

@AsuraRaza the world of the manga is based in middle ages and Eashen on the Japanese feudal period (when there was samurais and ninjas), so she, and her countrymen, speak as @lapizlazuli said, in an old fashioned way.

@lapizlazuli I have my doubts on that profit lol. Would leave a scar at some point.

not really, instead of asking confirmation, it sounds like restatement.
For example," I do-degozaru" = "I do, I really do". or "what are you doing-degozaru?" = "what are you doing, if I can ask?".

Well that's maybe not the best translation that I can give, but you get the picture. Also it sort of annoying to translate it, because it changes the meaning depends on the context and also it has nothing to add in the sentence other than it's just a verbal tic.
