Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni - Vol. 5 Ch. 21 - Episode 21

anyone else notice that yumina's finger doesn't even reach the trigger when she holds the gun?

Is Toya crazy?
Who gives guns to untrained people like that?
He also had the chance to name it "gunblade" but didn't...

The comment section seems to be full of Americans. We people from countries where people aren't normally allowed to have guns don't really know or care about that "gun safety" stuff. The author, who's Japanese, is probably the same.

The programming SPELL bothering people because it's not enough like coding is kind of funny. It's literally "a wizard did it," but you want to get hung up on the specifics in it? Okay then, here we go. Specifically, what he "coded" into this gun was for it to activate other spells for the transformation. Lolibaba told him the magic couldn't make objects do things they weren't already potentially capable of, so he made the object capable of it with one of his other Unlimited Spell WorksTM abilities. It's not "nonsensical" if it literally draws on his established ability kit.

Could you call it stupid, silly, overpowered, or a slew of other things? Sure, personally I think it was a waste of time going through all this. I would've just made him adapt in battles the old fashioned way, like how he actually defeated the Beastking in the first place. Making someone overpowered is one thing but continually handing them new stuff like this reminds me of how Superman got his powers and became one of the most boring motherfuckers in an entire multiverse, with the most contrived weaknesses to offset it all.

As expected the comments section is swiftly filled with programmers brag-ranting about the semantics of a fantasy universe like they're in an xkcd strip.
These two girls are formidable adventurers reveling in life or death situations who have been handling magic strong enough to kill multiple people at once from range in the blink of an eye with ease but they can't be trusted to not look down the barrel of a gun with their fingers rested on the trigger, lmao.
There's no coding involved here, magic is by definition inexplicable phenomena. A chair moving by itself seems simple enough but violates like fifty laws of physics and a couple other areas of science and maths, some undiscovered. It's only retarded if you apply braindead code monkey logic to it. Gunblades are useless in that you wouldn't bring a knife to a gunfight, but in a world where you gain superhuman strength or break the sound barrier by your own sheer will all bets are off.
Still can't beat that one guy reciting the same old overpowered man bad spiel, though. There's hundreds of "seinen"/suffering manga on this site alone in desperate need of more mindshare, grace them with your presence instead.

...So he made some revolvers. ( ಠ ͜ʖಠ) And he gave one for each of the twins, this can only end well. XD

OK, so the author is obviously a fan of FF8. There is no other reason to make a fucking gunblade...

Wants to make a gun
Makes a Black powder Revolver
It uses primed cartridges

I don't want to be that guy but that's a Colt Army Model 1860 and those take un-primed paper cartridges, there are conversions and such that use regular ammo but using the Colt Army just triggers me.

Why the fuck is there a peacemaker and a .38 special and why are they using the exact same cartridge aaaaaaa
