Ugh, same as the novel. I fucking HATE that he didn't keep the bracers.

He wasn't targeted. Same reason Slip worked originally. He opened a hole in space in the ground under the guy, and put the hole's exit in the box, see?
They're his possessions anyway, that this guy picked up and used on his own. They belong to Touya since he's the owner of Babylon. The kings pressured him into destroying the bracers, sure, but ugh. UGH. So fucking stupid. Touya is the dumbest Isekai MC.

Not the point I was making. I'm a WN reader, I know exactly how powerful he becomes, his capabilities, and what he turns into later on.
However, considering their effects, at that point in time, someone would be stupid to pass up free invincibility.

@Kayriel Even if he says that he owns the bracers, he can't exactly reason with that to the emperor and the king. Besides, even if he keeps them it will just become obsolete and treated as garbage. You just saw the ineffectiveness of the bracers. He can just think of another way to get the same effect as those things.

Yes, the weakness is magic that no enemy is going to use on him at first unless they have time to examine why the most common method of attacks don't work, and spend time trying to figure out what does. If they're even capable of it because aside from Touya almost everyone in the world is only good at one or two things and thus grossly lacks the versatility and breadth of sheer skills and spells that he has.
I'm VERY well aware of why it's not useful in this story, again, I am a WN reader, I am way ahead of this. My point was that from an in-world perspective (character knowledge, not audience knowledge), someone would be an idiot to toss away free invincibility. WE know why it'd be pointless to keep it, and that is typically because 'plot'.

At the current time he can't recreate those like I said. Hell, if I remember correctly he even thinks about keeping it before realizing it'd make the kings feel better if he didn't, and figured he'd get something better in the future.

In most cases, stinky gases are usually poison in some manner or form. Or even simply by reducing breathable oxygen concentration, it can pose some danger.

It is the common sense if this isekai was any another.
But Toya is over-powerbuffed directly by God. Even against these bracelets, took him just a few hours to realize a way to defeat it easily.
The only thing that keeping these bracelets would bring to him, is concernment of someone ill-minded around to use it again to harm common people, maybe even people he cares about.
Toya surely is not interested in create or keep dangerous weapons and instruments to be used by people in that world. Bicycles are fine.

I don't understand why people keep messaging me about this. I know why the story has him not keep it. I'm so much further along in the story than most of you.
All I'm saying is, HAVING the things is better than NOT having them by any stretch of logic. Could give them to a friend or use them as an emergency defense for someone close to him, there's all sorts of things that could have been done.
That's all I'm saying, and yet people keep messaging me about this telling me things I already know and have little to do with what I was actually talking about. Story-reasons, plot-reasoning, all of that, I get it. I'm talking about pure logic, what the Everyman would do, not a character constrained by the plot.

Lol, and now i'm "messaging" you to tell that you are cleary not aware that people are just with the intention of quoting your post, in the way that this poor board is allowing. Originally I was continually pointing out that 'yes I get it but that's not what I was talking about', which to anyone with basic reading comprehension says "Either talk about what I was talking about, or please stop messaging me the SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN." Multiple of you pointlessly drawing me back here, and I've been fairly polite in trying to keep you all from just repeating each other.
If someone wanted to discuss what I was actually talking about, great! But having to re-explain myself each time is getting old, so I'm just going to start ignoring this thread from now on, and any repeats are just going to be blocked. I also don't like your flippant attitude, so gonna take care of that right quick.
