While magic is involved in some medicine here, only the MC can 'create' substances beyond the 'basic magic elements'. So no one would be creating chemical compounds with magic for medicine in this world. The closest to that is the "Water created by water magic users taste better" thing they said before.

@WillTell No..noble pharmacist do not make medicine with divine arts. They use divine arts in treatment, but Falma is the only one that makes medicine. Remember his dad was totally surprised by him making it. People can normally only make their 'element' and last I checked earth water wind and fire are not actual medicine, and they don't use it as such. Go back to when he revealed his powers to his father, it is not normal to 'make' medicine with divine arts. Using divine arts as part of the treatment, is common, but not making medicine.

Just remember that the bubonic plague is a bacterial infection while the coronavirus is a viral infection.
Bacterial infection is treated by antibiotic while viral infection use antiviral.
Antiviral doesn't kill virus, they inhibit their reproductive function.
Antibiotic do kill the bacterias.
Virus are 10 000 times smaller than bacterias.

Well, I would assume it is glass, not plastic. But I dont know for sure. If it is Glass, than damn. Glass ain't exactly light. And to wear it on a full face shield all day must kill their necks. As for the suits, idk. Maybe MC created them or told people how to. Or they somehow already existed.
