Isekai Yakkyoku - Ch. 28 - Begin the Diagnosis

The mc is too kind, and meek. In a crisis situation acting too passively or lacking assertiveness will be extremely detrimental. Kindly explaining things to people panicking due to fear is unlikely to calm them or control them. It's weird that these people are freaking out and panicking out of fear and yet a few kindly spoken words can make them see reason.

@fivestarninja
That's the problem. In reality, shit happens and most of the time the government can't do anything. The people never listens due to their own arrogance and their insistence in maintaining the fake freedom they have, then there's the economy crumbling due to lockdowns and shit. I mean, wtf are you supposed to do with these kinds of bullshits?

"This dude just encased our whole village in a wall of ice! Let's call him a kid and fight him!"

Please apply palm to face.

Well, the thing is that they already said that some people escaped so that's not completely dealt with. I'm guessing that the fleeing infected will infect a ring of towns around the first town (I guess it's more of an arc since they are next to the sea) and maybe there will be a second ring propagated from the first ring. This could still turn into a big mess with lots of death.

@4stjack agree but if the dude made the entire town a dome city, they probably have a respectful fear of him too, since while the black death is possible death, fighting someone like that is certain death.

8 dude going to contamine nearby city with 500 people it's 1.6% of too bad they are plague bearers probably noble or merchants are the most dangerous as they can travel far and fast.

@CrumblingGolem With any luck, most of the fleeing people aren't infected, and with further luck, any town they reach won't receive them, thus limiting their chances of passing the plague on to other places.

reading this during pandemic... its just like real life without the magic...
thanks for the chapter...

"I'm gonna read an isekai to take my mind off things that are going on"
*reads Isekai Yakkyoku*
"AH GODDAMMIT"

Surprising lack of mc's reaction to information of containment breach at the p.8. Doesn't it undermines his intention to prevent spreading of the plague?

@DeadKinginHell well, if general population mostly trust government, and said government have balls to act preemptively chaos is majorly avoided. Developed health care helps too...

thanks for the chapter

i only wonder how/why they entered that end of the room in Page 25, unless the Door for Room Entry is just right outside the left Screen.

@Wehuty
I thought black death spread via roddens and flea, so shouldn't it be fine if human walk there as long as they don't bring any big cargo?

It's so surreal to read a manga where a fantasy world is being attacked by a plague when we're dealing with one ourselves.
