@CyberianGinseng It is a little unclear with how it is said, but silicates as a group are very abundant minerals in rocks. By removing the common minerals it would destabilize the structure and crumble the rock. Silicates are a group of minerals though, and I think he established he can only erase pure minerals.

There are some reasons why claiming to be a god can be a bad idea. The least of all in this case might be "I already had a tough time getting patients comfortable asking me for help as a noble, how stupid are people going to act if they think I'm a god?" Dude just wants to run a pharmacy, not become an object of worship.

erm... idk what your point is but they legit thought he was a powerful demon strong enough to overpower their anti-demon spell they didn't assume he was a demon because the anti-demon spell didn't work on him they thought he was a demon because he HAD NO SHADOW. Idk if it were me I would also think a man without a shadow (in a world where demons exist) would be a demon. These church guys are actually trying to do their best for their god so I don't see why these are even bad church people. I know I'm a bit late but honestly the prejudice against the "church" is just kinda silly especially when in an isekai world where there is physical manifestations of their god.
