Isekai Yakkyoku - Vol. 5 Ch. 21 - Cutting Edge

This author has done a good job twisting characters that would be one dimensional antagonists in most other works. First, the church turned out to be reasonable once they knew the truth. Now we have a competitive brother who appears to be genuinely concerned about his family.

All good and such, but this dude's forgetting the plague modern humans have proven to be, now imagine the population was not even controlled during the middle ages with the pandemics we suffered, we'd not even be alive now probably, we're barely better than most animals with the pollution we generate even with all our knowledge and he wants to give that life expectancy and numbers to medieval humans that have yet less understanding of the world, it's like giving a nuke button to a monkey, realistically speaking he's becoming humanity's demise. (If he only advances pharmaceutics in that world, obvs)

If this isn't foreshadowing... He's totally going to collapse again from overwork isn't he, except this time because he has people around him, he'll be saved and it will make him change his life choices... or something like that?

@TetraSky yeah it will be Ellen and Lotte. I do wonder why he doesn't want his brother to know that he knows a lot of things. Not that he has to show him everything, unless he is trying to put up a facade of being a child, though his father knows whats what as well as the Queen and her personal doc as well as many others.

This felt like a wholesome chapter.

There are a ton of risks with the amount of progress Falma is throwing out. But right here, right now? This is just a family of medicine practitioners who want the world to be a safer, happier place.

Also, I think I will never get tired of Isekai natives nerdgasming over the periodic table and the like.

Should he be worried about STD? There is a reason why in health examination the doctor ask on how sexually active the patient. It is to see if STD screening is needed or possibility of pregnancy(to avoid certain medicine)

No one is going to mention the sperm swimming around his older brothers head on page 21?

Lol what a fuckboi the brother is. Dont know whether to be proud or disappointed in somebody who gets together with more than 9 women in the span of a few months

Well, that is probably a concern but only if those relationships were in fact sexual. It's hard to say what kind of courting this young noble was participating in based on what he said there and the fact that he was telling his younger brother about it. For all we know, those girls all broke up with him because he was the prude, given his position and how having an accidental pregnancy might not go over so well for the son of an archduke. Other side of the coin, perhaps he was too pushy about that and they wanted to save that for marriage.
