Isekai Yakkyoku

This is good, as a doctor myself I can say this is a very good manga that tackles some of the most problematic diseases in an interesting way with the right medications... Rifampicin is the 1st line drug for TB, and important. He knows drugs really well.

I wonder when he will go against small pox, vector-borne disease, then hopefully tries to develop vaccines for common illnesses.

I'm not into internal medicine that much since I like surgical base more, but this is still an interesting read.

as I understand this manga, it seems to follow the past history of real world diseases. So I'm expecting big bad diseases back then when medical treatment and hygiene is still poor. White Death, Black Death, Smallpox, Yellow Fever, Cholera, Malaria...

I really hope the translation team is getting more recognition to speed up the scanlations. It's very rare to find such in-depth medical, real world-related diseases manga. Without any ecchi, harem, fanservices, and focuses much more on description of medicine and diseases.

This is definitely a manga that makes you fix your glasses with the tip of your little finger

as long as it doesn't go full harem i goes this deserve an anime for the unique presentation of the medical information in an interesting way

damn black plague arc
can't wait for this arc
now i'm waiting for the author to make HIV AIDS arc

When the first few chapters were translated, I read it and dropped it because I didn't find interesting. I decided to give it another go and it's quite enjoyable.

The
black plague
killed about
200 million
people. Falmas gonna have a lot of work to do.

The story is following Yersinia pestis history. A ship from Yersinia Island with everyone aboard dead, was found. Going to the island they found the same deaths. Symptoms and all. Soon more people with contact to the island or ship started to die. It was all down hill from there.

Another side story, related to Yersinia pestis, was cats were killed by the thousands as witches familiars. The cat could have helped control the rats that carried the flea's responsible for black death. Stupidity was a big factor why Y. pestis, became huge. History repeats way too often. Ebola is running rampant in Africa because of many factors. Mainly because those infected believe the government is responsible for the infection. They won't listen to those who could help. Plus customs dealing with sick and dead/soon dead being another factor.

Y. pestis is one of the level 5 containment series. Given the state of medicine in the story. It would be ridiculous to think level 5 research will be started. Let alone the antibiotics need for a cure. The story has turned down a one-way back alley. There is no where to go which would be believable or plausible given context of the story.

@Meybi having such a large scale event that could potentially pose an enormous challenge for our mc isn't a spoiler?
would you also vouch that saying the walls of AOT are titans wouldn't be a spoiler to the people that were watching as the episodes came out?
Dumbledore dies

I like this but the the medicine isn’t really put to good use. Also idk where the romance lies! For over a year I thought it was the maid but now apparently I might be wrong!

It makes me sad because I really like the maid. She makes everyone smile and looks a lot like the girl in his previous life that cared for him. A good wife that waits for MC. But glasses girl is too dam cute and awesome
