Weird that Maple and Sally now know that there are a bunch of people who have made a forum to talk about how adorable and OP they are, and one of their team members is among them.
@cybik those tiny little bits of skipped exposition can have significant impact.
For example, the anime made it look like she just randomly stumbled upon the super secret quest that awards op stuff and just happened to have the exact quest item she needed for it, whereas the manga shows that she was specifically looking for quest triggers and was having trouble finding them, and that the required item was a low-level drop she happened to have because she's a packrat.
It leads to a very different impression. Generally speaking, the anime would trim away most of the little obstacles, making progress look super smooth which for me at least was off-putting. It made her gains feel undeserved. The manga does a lot to fix that.
I can't remember the last time we saw someone else's hp but I swore they only had double digit, so maple sitting at 1k hp would basically be a raid boss in player form
she's making the devs go nuts and that is hilarious as she is going and flying with her turtle and can kill pretty much anything with her acid rain and racking the game with her simple minded and her cute personality
scripted quests are hilarious like that, especially when you actually have the item on you(sometimes, dozens of them) and the npc still assumes you spent a long time to get it, and didn't just take it out of the inventory.
