With regards to the name explanation, she's just saying her family name, Asuma (飛鳥馬) is written like the "Asuka" in a period in Japanese history called "Asuka Period" (飛鳥時代) plus the kanji for 'horse', 馬. Her given name, "澄" is based on the kanji used for the word 'clear' in sentences like 'the water is clear' (水が澄んでる).

I find this image incredibly charming. I hope he'll make a good husband.
