This is the one about the chick who was being drilled in all three holes at once, then picked up a butter knife and carved up the entire rebel squad down to the last man before being killed. So she'll be Butter Knife Empress.
I mean does she really need to find a reason to stop the execution, she's the emperor can't she just stop it and punish the Duke for trying to manipulate the emperor into doing what he wants.
@sandamckitty
My question exactly. I mean she's this crazy tyrant empress anyway. She's allowed to change her mind on a whim, otherwise rebellion wouldn't be the only way to stop her. Unless they later explain that she signed some irrevocable order like "the laws of the Medes and Persians."
@AnimefangirlX I'm pretty sure it's for that exact reason that she's doing it. If she suddenly changes her mind then her subjects will still think her crazy, unpredictable and dangerous. But if she has a strong motivation and does it for a noble reason, then she's less likely to get killed because she's unpredictable and crazy. That's my outlook anyway.
@JWChibi
Presumably, she's trying to get people to believe that she's being rational and reasonable again, rather than whimsical and capricious. Even if an erratic person does something right one day, there's no guarantee they wont change their mind again the next.
@Euro_PURO
She's about to be murdered in 3 days and her subjects already think she's nuts.
It would be better to cancel the execution, escape the present danger and then figure out how to redeem her image.
I'm putting it down to "She just transmigrated and doesn't fully understand her position yet."
Should have made it clear about what she wanted to do at the tower. Don't know why she cave just say she had a revelation or something to show people she's changed
@Euro_PURO I think you have it right. If they're concerned about the empress being insane arbitrarily changing her mind isn't going to reassure them. Her decision might delay the coup but they'll still be concerned that she might just change her mind on a whim again. If she shows them that she is still someone that can be reasoned with they will probably be more willing to give her another chance, especially with how badly the ML struggled with the decision.
Maybe she has to prove it to her once followers, since the rebellion is already under way and there is mutiny in the kingdom by ousting a corrupt noble or the one who suggested/swayed her decision for the order in the first place (since she asked the Duke for his input on it). The rebellion won't take her seriously unless she does something as drastic as that since they see her as a tyrant and who sides with the corrupt nobles?
