gods are not allways good and sometimes the devil you know is better then the devil you dont.
the greek pantheon for example is pretty famous or infamous depending on how you see it, for being pretty.... well... human...
every single one of them was flawed in some way.
most of them was pridefull beyond belife even on a god day and most of them were also very spiteful and quick to anger.
other then a few exeptions, they were all worshiped out of fear, not respect.

surprisingly Hades is actually a pretty good example off one of the better god's simply because he is not nearly as much of a dick as the others,
he was usually fair to his subjects and did not judge them unfairly.
he did not care much for mortals but did not treat them with the same disrespect as the others unless the person in question were particularly fowl.
that can of course be attributed to him not giving a fuck and just wanting to do his job, despite hateing it.
but very few gods dont actually look down on mortals so eh...

of course this is slightly counterbalanced by his hate for his fellow gods and the fact that he kidnapped and forced his wife to mary her and then locking her up untill the other gods got pissy so he setteld for only locking her up half the year thus giveing us winter.
he despised his peers much more than they did him, but nobody is perfect in the greek mythology.
why am i even talking about this ? i just love mythology in general
