Mori Kaoru is just too good with details! I love how you can look at Jayne and instantly realize that the story is set in the 1920s just by her bobbed hair, and then have it confirmed when she takes off her coat and see her loose, straight clothes, and from that alone the story just tells itself about a modern woman trying to navigate Victorian/Edwardian sensibilities. Plus, it's always nice when Mori gets to indulge in her love of maids!
