When this 3 chapters of pilot gave you whole lot more info about the 'higher up', the rules and the consequences than the main story
Pilot just hits different, with its own characters, it's own plot, and it's art that had kinda different vibe from the canon. Like ofc it's because of the artist's (Aida?) Improvement, but somehow it feels, prettier? More detail despite being simpler?? Can't compare these two tho, they're both just amazing

it's my third time reading this and this is still very hard on me. I wonder if some parts of this story (that has yet been revealed) overlap with the canon?

Oh wow, the pilot is so much darker than I imagined.... I liked how creepy Hanako was here, though he also seemed a little less, well, lively. The "strikes" he got appearing as cuts on his arm really freaked me out viscerally. And in the end they got separated

just like the current Severance thing in the manga,

and Hanako just has to keep on granting wishes and watch Nene graduate and leave... it's all so sad I want to cry. My poor babies, I just want them to be happy T-T

I am curious about those higher-ups that Hanako mentioned, though. Will they be coming into play later?
