@stilgar because none of these people have gone through “just friends” and had it worked out. Hell, I sorta stopped talking to my ex because it was just awkward to talk to her. We don’t dislike each other, but there’s still a sense of “It’s weird.”

@stilgar Sorry for the wait, perhaps more accurately, they still view relationships with rose tinted glasses where everything works out. Might be double power since it’s a manga and everything works out because they’re the protagonist and everyone should love them.
