Jimi na Kensei wa Sore Demo Saikyou Desu - Vol. 5 Ch. 44

I figured out a bunch of stuff with photoshop and getting raws, so the image quality will have gone up dramatically since the first one I did.
If you notice any mistakes, make sure to mention me, be it grammatical, visual or potentially a translation error.

You know. I've been thinking for the longest time that the mc is so kind. But after this chapter, I'm beginning to think he's actually just cold.

@Riger This is the man who ruthlessly slaughtered bandits who even tried to surrender because his boss said kill them all. He does not give a fuck.

In reality, when someone tries to kill you, they must be ready to be killed as well, mc is just defending his peeps so it's fine if he's cold. Whether they die or not is left to the hands of mc

This literally just shows how greedy the king and the headmaster of that magic school is for new magic to control.

Did the king of a magical medieval country from another world just use a Japanese euphemism? Man this manga doesn’t even have to try to be bad, it just does it so naturally

@Flavor25 yeah, like any sci-fi movie when aliens using English immediately, or any anime using JP language despite on Medieval age ~
of course there's bad side of this manga, unfortunately you choose the wrong one... lol

@Riger @Lan the thing with the bandits was because they were going for Rain, also his training kinda dulled his emotions (you can notice with the confession a looong time ago)

if he doesn't need to, he will not kill but he can also get mad (at least that hasn't disappeared from him)
or he is so cold, that his mission from the master is his priority so he works for the rich that takes care of Rain just to clear that mission.

Sounds like the plot to an Ecchi Shonen Battle Anime.

"Dude has specific set of skills that lets him beat down his opponents easily, crazy unbeatable battle chick moves in and challenges the biggest dog but fails. Fights off all other small fry and comes back, fights second/third strongest then looses but its a waste to throw her away so top dog has to make crazy battle chick his b-word that rhymes with witch."

I'm a tad confused as to why they're concerned about him fighting at all. It's not like he broke a sweat dealing with her, what's a third time?
I'd be a little more understanding if the problem was "Can you spare her?" in the fight because she's improved so much, and Sansui has to kinda pull his punches.
But who knows, maybe she'll magically put up more of a fight this time. Her recovery doesn't seem to matter if you just bop her head like he's done before.

More political manoeuvring to obtain human super weapons. I’m not saying it wouldn’t happen but it’s boring to watch lol

I love how most isekai are like “I’m going to use my power to live freely” but in that world they’re like “not exactly sure what to do with my power...... guess I’ll chain myself and others like me into servitude to some random person I happened to bump into one day, even if they owe me I’ll become their servant”

Imaging being such a sore loser that you can't accept that you've been beating then throwing a tantrum by attacking anyone that crosses your path... I'm sorry that's all I'm getting from this chapter.

@Quesbee

Dude she's a berserker. How many are shown to be happy rational people in any media. 99% of times they are wrathful muscleheads with no impulse control.

@shoker

He can easily beat her as we have seen before. This time they want him to break her down to the point that she can admit she's not the strongest and humble herself some. The problem is that breaking her spirit could also lead to her just going into shock at her weakness and just becoming a husk of herself.
